collision prediction

if you can measure
every millimeter
for density, tensile strength,
friction, thermal resistance,
mass and velocity,
what happens when
two objects collide
can be predicted
with significant certainty

unless the objects
happen to be humans
then, even if you
could model the precise
electrical charge
of each neuron and
the spin of each
quantum particle
it would still
not be possible
to say anything
more certain than
"this will be interesting"

math fails us,
even if we use all
the fancy symbols
that movie scientists
use to write
the formulas to
prove that they are smart
we still can't construct
the function which integrates intentions
that describes the derivative of attraction
or fills out the correlation matrix of hope
